is there anything i can do to help build up my confidence?

Question:

Answers:
Sounds simple or daft depending on how you look at it.but reading the newspaper or watching the news will make sure you've always got something to talk about.

Even if you don't have an opinion on a particular subject, use the web to find out some of the smaller details and you can drop them into the conversation when you feel like.

This way you will never be stuck for something to say (nothing is more demoralising than worrying what you'll say to people when you meet them) and people will remember you as an interesting person.

Which I'm sure you are if you could but show it!!

Remember, EVERYONE gets nervous at times and having someone who can put forward something interesting and topical to talk about is someone folk want to have around.

Good luck.

Other Answers:
do something you are good at, don't hang around people who put you down.

Do stuff you're good at. There you go; if you're the best at something, at least you aren't a completely useless piece of protoplasm. No, your just a loser that's all. lol.

fake it initially and forget that you were inconfident ever. Its like shake and bang. or. poof poof boom. You just have to start believing in yourself all of a sudden. But for some people a slow process might work better.they take up smaller tasks and feel more and more confident each time they complete it.

Yes, there is. See this site below on a new religion about this with practical advice from latest psychological research.

Look in the mirror every day and don't stop till you like what you see Go to drama classes!

Get a book by Susan Jeffreys called "feel the fear and do it anyway". I had confidence probs til I read the advice in there. The first time I followed her advice I was shaking inside, but on the outside I tried to look confident, and you know, no one knew how I felt. It takes lots of small little acts and one day you will be just confident.
Good friends can of course help also.

hang around with a really confident outgoing mate and hopefully it will rub off on you avoid the tough people as there are plenty of them around us,and search for the kind and mature ones, they are a real support for us.
