Why do people use cybering?

Cybering is popular because it is annonmous. No one knows who they are and they do not have to face them the next day. Additionally, the fantasy is there. Not to mention it is disease free. Though cybering is not my preference, I would rather someone do that than go out and rape a 13 year old girl.
Say what you want about someone who enjoys the cyber, but who would you rather be your neighbor? The cyberer or the serial rapist?

Oh, geeze, that's not good. I guess he thought it would be funny. Be careful about this friend. If he thinks this is funny, what's stopping him from giving out your address or phone number on a bathroom wall, for example?
There was a study for kids who used cell phone to IM or talk, or used other features to converce with other people. The kids who used their cell phone the most were mostly depressed and try to cure that by chatting with someone they thought how would keep them occupied. People who spend countless hours doing such is socially challenged, no matter how many friends they have.
This is an unfortunate extreme to getting on the world wide web. Sex is everywhere, advertising use it to sell things, it is in movies, on TV etc. it is also on the Internet! It is hard to protect the children from it.
It really bothered me in the beginning of my Internet use. Especially in the chat rooms, these bots pop up with nasty crap. I have a ton on ignore, and then they pop up again with new names. You just have to learn to ignore it, or stop using the web.
Cybering like mentioned; is an anonymous way for people to fantasize. Gross but okay. as said, better to be on the web than to actually be out hurting someone.
I was incredibly irritated by my first yahoo name, being constantly offered on line sex. too many horny males in the world. And again it is loneliness as well. It began to make me realize how many sad, lonely people are in the WORLD!
If your friend gave your address out once, ha ha very funny. but I would let them know how invaded you felt, and not to do it again. If they continue, well then, I guess they are really not your friend.
