Does anxiety go together with depression?I feel I have both.Or is it one or the other?

Question:
Is talking to my doctor, first , the best thing to do?

Answers:
They don't always come together, but they can. It's rough to deal with both of them. Talk to your doctor. They will give you meds and if you don't want meds, they can give you ideas to change your lifestyle and get rid of the depression and anxiety.

Other Answers:
They can go together & YES talk to your doctor asap

yes often times the two go hand in hand Always talk to your doctor. But yes they can come together. My husband has them both.

Yes they go together and I'd talk to your Dr.

Sometiimes it does go together. Sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes like w/ BPD (borderline personality disorder) they go together.
It really depends on the person.
Go ask your doctor, I'm sure they can help.

They can go togethor, and often times require a similiar treatment if its a chemical imbalance. I've heard that rosewood or lavender oil tend to help both conditions out. I get my oil from https://www.youngliving.org/Gramora" title="https://www.youngliving.org/Gramora">https://www.youngliving.org/gramora. I think you can find more info on that there too. Anxiety and depression are two separate disorders, but they often attack the same person at the same time. They did it to me. I spent almost a year with my primary care physician and various specialist that she referred me to, trying to diagnose and cure these things. The best treatments I found (and since everyone responds differently to drugs and alternative therapy, this may not work for you) were: Paxil, yoga and meditation. I'm a much happier person than I was five years ago! Good luck.

Yes, talk to a doctor. I was treated for depression for many years before realising I had anxiety symptoms as well. I just thought that all the feelings were linked to the depression and didn't go into too much detail with the medics about it. It was when I started experiencing panic attacks that finally a doctor suggested a change in medication so that the anxiety was also being dealt with.

Anxiety and depression do commonly go together. It is not unusual at all to have both. I would talk to your doctor and see what his views are on it. He might refer you to a therapist or psychiatrist. The psychiatrist can work with you by going various exercises to limit the anxiety and depression and/or prescribe a medication that might help.

It's one of the stages of depression and it's very wise to go see a doctor. If you leave it untreated, it could lead you into difficult situations or panic attacks. Yes often times anxiety and depression will go together in a person. I have depression and anxiety myself. Talking to your doctor is the best option. They can help get you started on some medicines and get you going the right direction for help. I am currently 20 years old and have suffered depression since in grade school. Anxiety came along with it as well. I started seeing a doctor and went to counseling for help. Go to your doctor ASAP and get some help, than you will start feeling better and notice a difference. It may take a few weeks to notice a change but it will come eventually.

http://www.natural-herbal-remedies.net/anxiety.html talking to psychiatrist and therapist are absolutely best thing to do. if you are not seeing a therapist (counselor) you definitely should as counseling should alway be the primary course of any treatment plan.

Anxiety almost always accompanies depression. I have depression, myself. and often have anxiety problems.
Just because you might have constant anxiety, though, does not neccessarily mean that you have an anxiety disorder. Talk to your doctor.

Some people are depressed first and some people who have anxiety get depressed. I think talking to a doctor is the best thing to do first. It worked for me.
