Need help here?

Question:
Ok, I'm 15 and I have a bad memory and I have a hard time explaining things to people. It's not that I don't know what I'm explaining. It's just that I can't find the right words to put it in. Is that normal?

Answers:
Do you read real books (novels, non-fiction, etc) every night? That could help keep your mind focusing on language while developing your vocabulary.

Other Answers:
Yes, very normal. hang in there it will get better.
Totally. Don't worry about it. Try slowing down and concentrating on what you are saying. I used to have that problem. Imagine what you would want to know when you are trying to explain something to someone.
It is normal. Read lots of books to build up your vocabulary.

Remember that you will get over it.
yea its normal i do that all the time like am tryin to tell someone somthing and it doesnt come out right and then it get all carzy
Are you on any medications? Sometimes that will do it. If not try taking magnesium. It is supposed to help with memory.
yes hun, you are very normal. I am 47 and still have that problem.
You may want to tell folks that get on you to please be patient while you explain.
Cat

PS I like all sorts of books too
keep smilin
Sorry, about the bad memory. For the life of me why people always mention meds or go get help who knows. Can't anyone be serious. Sounds like what you went through was horrific. It is hard to talk, because in your mind you think people will judge you. You also know if you tell then you'll feel everybody will know and look at you. But do not worry this will pass. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF

Like any other skill, it is something that gets better with practice and experience.
