i have a serious question. only serious answeres please.?

Question: i have worked in the mental health feild for 17 years. never have i seen a person with downs syndrome of another race other than caucasion. WHY?

Answers:
It's interesting that you haven't seen any races other than white with Down syndrome. I've seen many children with Down syndrome who are Asian, Black, Hispanic, etc. It may just be a fluke of the population you are in. My son has Down syndrome, and while we are Caucasian, we have a large support group with people from many backgrounds....and each one is precious and beautiful!! Keep your eyes open, our lovely children are all around!!

Do you work in an area that serves a larger white population? Or an area with a large population of people other than caucastion, but are in "poor" standing and without insurance to see a mental health professional.
