Have you ever had a panic attack while stationary for a while in a traffic jam?

Yes.Its not a very nice feeling.I also used to get them when I was in the front of the queue at a busy junction waiting to pull out! Crazy how the mind works sometimes.I have learnt to control those feelings with the help of breathing techniques and I also take a prescribed drug now called cipramil. The panic attacks have gone from several a day,to almost none! If symptons persist it would be worth talking to someone. My life has definately improved since seeking help,at one stage I stopped going out of the house...now you can't keep me in! I don't personally want to be on perscribed drugs forever, but its helped to build my confidence up.
Yes, and it's a common reaction amongst people who have panic/anxiety attacks. In traffic, driving on a bridge, on a train, etc. Anywhere that you might feel 'trapped'.
since being treated for my anxiety (with celexa) this almost never happens to me anymore.
