I'm feeling suicidal, but I really want to avoid the hospital. What can I do?

Question:
I'm bipolar, and I've been spiraling downward with depression for a few weeks now. I am really feeling suicidal, but I really don't want to deal with the drama of going to the hospital, nor with the costs. Any suggestions on how to wade through this?

Oh yes, my wife is out of town, and has the car, so I am in the apartment alone right now with no transportation.

Answers:
eat some chocolate. seriously. sugar causes the mind to release endorphins, which are the body's happy meal...lliterally.

don't over indulge though.

also, define fun, to youself. and then go do it. be it watching a funny movie, taking a jog in the crisp morning air, or whatever.

remind yourself that you have a wife that loves you, and you live for her. think about happy memories.

don't worry, we all feel like homocide sometimes. tis natural. but if it continues, maybe you SHOULD get professional help. ^_^

stay happy, tht's my main advice. there's always a reason to live.
try to relax. make a nice hot drink. go for a walk and look at the beauty of the world.
