Do bipolar people experience mania for the rest of their lives?

Question:

Answers:
No not necessarily. Sometime they will outgrow it. I know many people that were once diagnosed that no longer have the problem.

About 90% depends on how strongly you believe you can overcome it. If you "accept" that it is incurable, you will have it for life.

A doctor can take a perfectly healthy person and tell them they are terminally ill with only six months to live . they will make the doctors words come true.

Also there are natural ways to help you fight it such as Omega 3 fatty acids.

Only a doctor that does not understand the power of thoughts would tell a person it is incurable. That kind of doctor will have a very low success rate. That is not my kind of doctor.

Other Answers:
yes, but there is medication for these people
My boyfriends mother is bipolar and manic . Shes been this way for many many years and as she gets older it gets worse. she is now is a hospital after ( As we call it " Going Out " ) and will be there for at least 2 months . We've been told that some people can get worse as they get older and sometimes go into a manic state and never come back. This is the worse shes ever been. But If you stay on your treatment plan you should be OK . she decided on her own to stop taking her meds. apparently it feels good to go manic . buttttt its driving everyone away from her . Sooooo if your bipolar please stay on your meds.. for you and your family
It depends on the person, what edications they are taking, and if they take them faithfully. In my case I take me meds faithfully everyday, but still have manic episodes from time to time. My doctor tld me that I am just pre disposed to being vulnerable to mood chages. Like I said, it differs with everyone.
Only we wish..
