Yes, it can get better. Even if you've got a bad case of anxiety, if you try hard, and keep trying, you will overcome it. It won't be easy, but it can be done.

This is an issue you should really discuss with your doctor or a mental health professional. For some people, anxiety, depression, and other disorders can be managed with just counseling. For others, they need medication to suppliment counseling.

Everyone is different and only your doctor can help you decide the best course of treatment for you based onyour condition, medical histotry and lifestyle.

Why would you take Buspar and all those benzos, but refuse antidepressants? How is Prozac any different or any worse than those other medications?
Some people with anxiety disorders do respond well to antidepressants, but everyone is different. If you are not doing well on your regimen now, maybe Prozac will help you. Don't you want to at least try?
Are you also in therapy? People often believe that medication will cure everything with anxiety and depression, but it only addresses part of the problem. So many problems are exacerbated by maladaptive behaviors and the way people think. People with anxiety disorders respond well to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Therapy in conjunction with medication tends to have the best results.
