kathy stringer does a lot of work in BPD support and understanding. she talks about the stigma and reports cases that are in the media that are gathering controversy. i love her articles, i think she does a great job.

you can subscribe to the group and i think they have message boards there, where you can speak with others.
go to a reputible site, such as NAMI ( National Institue of Mental Health) to get a start- http://www.nami.org/
there are numerous support groups- AA style- individual counseling-free, ect. I work in the field and there are plenty of real resources without having to get tangle up with phony ones while your web searching. DON'T start in a chat room. Start with a counselor/social worker/therapist resource and go on to the NAMI website. After a while, you'll be able to distinguish the real from the fake. There are many vultures out there that prey on people when they are in vunerable positions. Your young and newly diagnosed which is a double stressor so get honest help. But get it, you both deserve it and owe it to yourself. Your obviously intelligent, you can do this.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH..BUT BE CAREFUL.NOT EVERYONE IS AS NICE OR AS HELPFUL AS YOU'D HOPE FOR THEM TO BE.
GOD'S BLESSINGS TO YOU!
