Try a little exercise -- go for a walk when you're feeling blue. Also, it has been said that St. John's Wort (herbal) can help with depression. Be careful, though, because it can decrease the efficiency of birth control. If you're having suicidal or morbid thoughts call your doctor!
um, you must mean without a prescription i suppose. i have no idea, but medications like that are nothing to play with. they can be very dangerous and you should only take them under the guidance of a doctor. my advice is based on my own personal experience with antidepessants, having a family member on them, plus i'm also a nurse. get a prescription and see a doctor. there are tons of places that can assist you if cost is a problem. check your local community health clinic.
Take Brahmi and Ashwagandha Churan to treat depression and also be close to nature and greenary , keep a pet if possible this will help you a lot and also be in a company of spiritual minded people and read good books. www.planetayurveda.com
You can't.
However, your doctor should be part of a program where, if you qualify, you can get meds for free. I'm on Lexapro for severe depression and I don't pay a dime. Check into it.
The only thing without a prescription that I am aware of is St. John's Wort. It is an herb and can be had at most larger pharmacies, vitamin shops, health food stores and the like.
there's St. John's wort and SAMe at health food stores, but i'd still not recommend them without you seeing a dr. or naturopathic/holistic dr.
If you think you are clinically depressed, please see a doctor as soon as possible. The signs of clinical depression are negative thoughts, moods, and behaviors, and specific changes in bodily functions (e.g., eating, sleeping, and sexual activity). Any combination of two or more of these means you should seek professional help. There are no effective over-the-counter drugs for depression. Once you have your depression diagnosed and treated, take care of yourself ... the best "drugs" are exercise, sleep, and especially self-less-ness ... doing things for others. Nothing makes you feel better. You are not alone ... we're all in this together ... aren't we brave? Give yourself a kiss, dear one.
