how knowing about PTSD rape help nurses in the clinical settings?
Question:
Answers:
Any mentally traumatic event can be helped by learning about treatments for PTSD. Not just war vets.
Abused Children should receive this special care too.
Other Answers:
knowing about PTSD rape help nurses understand more about how every victim react to her own situation and how each cope with it, nurses would be able to have a deeper understanding in how to handle their patients who have been victims. Every person reacts differently to every crisis and in knowing that, nurses would not expect every one of their patients to have the same level of need. Nursing is not an exact science, so is medicine.
In my opinion, knowing about PTSD would help nurses be better aware of why a victim is behaving the way they are. It would help them treat a victim without causing further trauma.
