Has anyone ever WOKE up in the middle of the NIGHT and DID NOT know where you were? is this normal?

This has happened to me before to a degree but not often at all. I stayed all night at my boyfriends house last night. He and I have been together for over 4 years. I know him WELL! He has lived in his home that he has now for about 6 months. I have stayed over there a lot and spent the night several times. In other words the surroundings are not new to me. He and I had a argument before we went to bed which actually isn't unusual for us. He said some things that really hurt my feelings. He and I did not make up before we went to bed. I slept on the sofa and woke up in a panic about two hours after I had fell asleep not knowing where I was. I have done this before but almost instantly came to myself and realized where I was. My heart was POUNDING. I actually got up walked in the kitchen, looked around and went back to the den then looked outside thinking OMG where am I? I was having a come apart. Then it hit me where I was! Am I having a come apart. ever done this?? HELP ME!!
