Question:
about ssris by the way.i am eally thankfull for your answers.x

Answers:
You need to give us more information. You need to say what the illness is and what the medication is. Also, I don't know about your spelling. I have never heard of a word or a medication that is spelled ssris. Oh, now I get it, you mean, SSRI's. Yes, you can take them for the rest of you life. I've been on antidepressants for 7 years and if I have to take them the rest of my life I won't be worried about it. As for developing a tolerance for them. Your doctor may have to change the dose for a variety of reasons. I hope that Some day I will not be depressed and not need the medication but I know that that might not happen because of my special conditions that I won't bore you with.

Other Answers:
if you take any medication for an extremely prolonged period of time, you do run the risk of building up a tolerance to it and it no longer become effective anymore. I take allergy medication and need to switch medications every so often because my system no longer accepts that drug and fixes the problem. It just depends on the person.
I am sorry. I dint understand your question by the way. iam guessing that u r talking about ssris or psoriasis. Only thing i learnt is that you are a thankful person. ha ha!!
Tolerances affect different people in different ways and over long or short periods of time tolerances are usually built and sometimes require an increase in the dosage or a decrease to slowly wean to eventually (possibly) change the medicine to another. It all depends on what you think is helping you and how you feel emotionally and physically. Blood work should be drawn periodically also.
