I actually read a study on this. They said they it was probably worse for you to smoke occasionally. They found that women who just smked every now and then would more than likely get heart disease. (their body isnt as used to working this hard, rather than smoking all the time when your body is used to it)Kinda wierd, I know....but thats what the study said.

Remember that tobacco kills. I smoked for almost 25 years but gave up the bad habit of smoking seven years ago without turning back, because I have a strong will-power. No one can minimize smoking gradually because it is very difficult in practical and it has to be done once for all. After you quit smoking, you will never gain weight since this is a wrong judgment as regards quitting smoking. Quit smoking if you have to decide and you will never regret. Smoking can cause high blood pressure, heartburn, heart disease, emphysema, bronchiole infections, and then of course there is lung, mouth, throat, and liver cancer. Yikes!!
The first thing you will notice when you lite up is that your cillia in your throat will stop working. (The cillia are tiny hairs that sweep upward to get bad stuff out of your lungs.) They normally would help you cough out bad things from your lungs, but with them impared, they can't do their job, so your lungs get all the toxins and chemicals that are in that cigarette.
So, yes, you can get the same bad effects from smoking once in a while that you can get from smoking 3 packs a day.
