Any tricks on getting someone to talk to a mental health professional when they don't see they need to?

Question:
I talked to Dr about my husband and she thinks he may have borderline personality disorder and I have looked up info on net and I can see how that could be true. I just don't know how to help him see that he needs help. Our marriage is seriously at a breaking point from this and I just keep thinking if he would get some help Maybe it would get better.

Answers:
He has to be willing to get help...Usually, you just gotta let things happen...One thing to always remember to have a better day is that nothing is forever.

Other Answers:
Don't trick him into it. Talk about it, say that you need something to happen to save your marriage. If you trick him into it, you are much further from home! He will not trust you anymore.
.Would you care to accompany me,I don't want to go talk to my doctor alone.
Just ask him to come with you and you want to see the mental physician for your own. Then bring him with you, and ask the phusician some similar problems as if those are facing you and seek his advice. He (the patient) shall become aware that for this kind of problems also that specialized advice may work. He can then atleast think overit.

But remember, generally, medicines for thies problems are a short term solution but long term problem in itself. You shoud see a psychologist rathet than a psychitrist.

Though I am myself in very much distress now a days, still looking for probable answers from me!
How about a neighborhood mental health support group meeting that you both go to. Tell him that you and he can just listen and see how much you don't need to be there. It will be a good social night out.
ever hear the Milton Burl joke about the man who goes to the shrink with bacon around his ears and a telivision on top of his head and says doctor i'de like to talk to you about my brother
