What do you do when you have difficulties expressing you feeling/ideas to other people?

write them a letter explaining how you feel, it is easier than actually saying it
write it down or draw it out.. or play it with an instrument. music can tell stories too
i journal, it lets me express all my feelings on paper its like a diary you and only you know what is on that paper and theree is no one to critize you
I just keep quiet and try to seem stoic. I think this may be the reason I have so many mental problems.
I'm very uncomfortable sharing intimate emotions like love and grief with people. Sometimes you just have to screw up your courage and act before you lose your nerve.
Write everything in my notebook. It doesn't matter how awkwardly I express myself to myself, as long as I have taken whatever it was out of my mind, I can look at it on the page and find ways to express it more clearly to other people.
Write. I'm one of those people who cannot talk well, especially when angry or upset. But writing gives me a chance to actually calm down and think- AND puts the words out where people will actually see them.
This is going to sound 'off the wall', but I have students who will not get up in front of the class to do anything oral - in spite of the "O" they know they will get. BUT, I came up with an idea - if you have problems expressing yourself - get into practice by writing. Get a journal and write regularly about any and everything. Express your ideas on paper about many subjects. Read them over and over again -when the opportunity arises and you 'need' or have to express yourself - you will already have some pre-recorded (written ) information that you can relate to. It's a step toward being able to speak better. Some students st udder, can't get their thoughts in their heads to match up with what they want to come out of their mouths. Grown folks have the same problem...THINK before you speak and then - let'er rip! Confidence - that's all you need friend.....Confidence.....! smile

The emorional freedom technique will resolve nmay fearfull patterns however it depends on ( as in manyt things in life) your belief in all of is. The cure from Alfons can work for the fear problem too.

I think about it for a while and when I figure out exactly what I want to say I go tell them.
I always emphasize on giving an examples, for them to better understand my ideas.
