anyone go off prozac for awhile and then back on?? Same results??
Question:
Answers:
If you've taken Prozac in the past and had a good experience, then the odds are really good that it will work for you again. There are times, however, when it either won't work or doesn't give the same level of results as before. In these circumstances, you should talk to your doctor and let him/her know what's going on. Prozac is in a family of medications known as SSRIs. If it doesn't work for you this time, then it's possible one of the others will. Remember that these medications can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks before you'll see a full therapeutic response, so try to stick with it and be compliant with the meds. If you're not seeing any response after 2-3 weeks, though, it's probably a good indication that you might need to switch to a different one. Good luck.
