I feel sorrow and pain in my heart now. What should I do to feel better?
Question:
Answers:
Sit down and feel it..let it all go in a fit of tears and sob as hard you need to. This is what your body needs right now to release all the negetive energy that these strong emotions are being stored inside of you.
Then, you need to take control back by whatever means you use to calm down after an upset,,a long shower or a long walk or a decent time punching a bag or running.
My point is to not ignore your pain, face it, accept it, and begin to let time ease it. Take care and keep yourself safe.
Other Answers:
Talk to Jesus. Let Him into your heart.
eat icecream and let it all out.
Watch Napolean Dynamite :]
Look back at the good times. Count all the blessings you have been given instead of dwelling on the negative.
Watch a comedy. Laughter is the best medicine.
This sorrow is from a loss, leaving a void in your soul....I pray for your strength, dear one.
Try to move your thoughts to more pleasant things and surround yourself with those people who love you. Keep busy, and do not dwell on the loss. There is always a time to grieve, and then to heal. Have patience, dear one.
Go out and help others. It will make you forget about yourself and you will see that others have it much worse than you. Join Habitat for Humanity, visit nursing homes, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, get involved with a church charity. You will feel much better and meet good people.
Focus on positive thoughts. If you have a hobby that makes you happy, spend you time with it.
Better yet, get out of the house and have fun with friends!
If it's something you can't get away from, you might as well face the problem and figure out how to deal with it once and for all.
dont sit around and think about it becuase it will only get worse and worse ... get out of the house and go do something that will take your mind off everything you are going through ....painting, picture taking, anything athletic, try something youve always wanted to try .... anything is better than nothing
The best way to help yourself and to feel better is to help others. Volunteer. There are a lot of places that need your help. Another way to feel better is to exercise. This really works! When you exercise your body makes more endorphins and those make you feel happy. It works much better than taking pills for depression.
I would suggest the following steps:
Get some lightbulbs and find a place where you can shatter them in anger and frustration. First, they pop loudly and it's fun. Second, it helps you lose aggression.
Then, listen to "Unbreak my Heart" about 10 times in a row and cry. Then you will feel like yourself again, if only for a little while.
Well, sorrow and happinees are a part of our life. In fact, happiness is an occasional episode in the general drama of pain.
So, friend, first find out the reason why you are feeling your heart sore and then search for its solution. If no solution seems to be useful or working then simply try to change your place and the environment for a while or for sometim. It will make your mind or heart fresh and you will get involved in new things and thereby you will feel better. But if you can't go anywhere and if still find yourself in the same sorroful situation then do this:
Choose any time suitable for you and spend just 2 or 5 minutes on this technique that I am going to tell you. Close your eyes and say to yourself without uttering any word... "What happened, happened. I have nothing to do with it. Sorro and happiness are not attributed to my soul. I am free from them. No one can ever give me any sorrow or happiness. Today I will look cheerful and happy and don't let any painful thought enter my mind." You can use your own words something like the ones I have used here. Friend, you will SURELY FEEL BETTER if you do this for some time or for few days. Not only this, you will see a new change in yourself. Sorrow or happiness is a state of mind, so you have just to change the present state of your mind.
Wish you all the best!
i'm not sure but you can always talk to me if you want here's my addy elf4chocolate@yahoo.co.uk i feel exactly the same every day of the week at least 20 times an hour and i'm nearly 15 tlk about a head full of stuff!!
If it's becoming physical now, drink some chamomile tea, take some high does B-complex vitamins (sub-lingual B-12 is good, folic acid for nerve function and the rest.) Almond butter keeps me from being depressed. Can you get one of those little peanut butter making machines and make yourself some, or get it at a health food store? If not just eat a bunch of almonds a few times a day. Apparently they have something my body cannot produce.
Yoga and meditation! Take care of yourself, because no one else will until you land in the hospital and even then it's questionable. Take care of yourself and if you can't take care of the little boy inside you because he deserves it. This is my biggest problem. I take care of other people, and since I am competent, they don't even notice that I need some care too. Even after I had some hernia repair surgery a few years back, I had a house full of people for Christmas and no one helped me, except for my daughter in law. I was still bleeding, for crying out loud!
Pain in your heart means slow down a bit and take care of yourself before your body rebels and makes you do it.
