I've been on Prozac for almost 10 years now, and I only have water retention now and then. I don't think it's the Prozac causing it.
If you have any undesireable side effects, tell your doctor so they can try you on another medication. Different meds for different heads.
Vistaril is a form of antihistamine so it tends to dry your system out, especially dry mouth. Prozac can cause frequent urination and again dry mouth, but in rare occasions it can cause swelling especially in the face from water retention, which can cause other problems with your eyes and throat. It would be a good idea to advise your doctor
