Question:
Answers:
anti depressants are really anti happiness as well. They do you no good,
Deal with the issue causing you to feel this way. My advice go see a hypnotherapist with NLP certification. I know of many people who have dealt with the issue that causes a depressive state and are now free of it.
Good luck, you have everythign you need within you to make the change.
Wishing you better health and many nights on the wine.

You shouldnt consume any alcohol while on any antidepressants, combining them is counterintuitive
avoid antidepressants, they do not work in the long run. Which is why they are always the drug companies best sellers (because they are addictive). Try dark chocolate, strawberries, and other foods which will increase your oxitosin levels, and leafy greens to increase Iron. Avoid too much coffee.
my experience with depression and alcohol is that I used alcohol to self medicate. Alcohol took away that yucky feeling temporarily. What sucked is that when I woke up the next day there it was.. back again and worse..
I wouldn't recommend mixing any meds with alcohol.
NONE! Really! You should never drink on anti depressants. A lot of people do. I have, and it does not mix well at all.
I take welburtin, and I have drank some wine and beer with them. I don't drink alot. Like one beer or one glass of wine.
I think drinking in moderation is OK. I currently take 20mg fluoextine (prozac) a day, and do drink a fair bit - alot more than I probably should, but I don't feel the effects of drinking too much. I was prescribed prozac for my anxiety and panic attacks, which were always exacerbated hugely by a hangover. The prozac, which I resisted taking for over two years, has really helped keep the attacks at bay, although I must advise you to definitely avoid binge drinking. On antidepressants I've found I've got drunk much more quickly, and when I stupidly have got pissed, I tend to have complete black-outs, with no recollection of how I've got home or what I've been up to whilst I've been out, which is a very scary thing.
I have to admit, I do drink a bit most days, but never get really drunk any more. And I am on a low dosage of fluoxetine.
Of course, try and not drink at all if you can, as antidepressants really aren't very good for your body, but they have helped me no end. Alcohol is a depressant. Drinking wine or any other alcoholic beverage will only counteract the positive effects of the anti-depressant.
I know drinking alcohol is very enjoyable. How well I do! But as problems got worse for me, I have found I cannot drink ever and I have come to know how damaging it is to my body which I want to take care of. So, I really don't even miss it anymore. I see it as I am depriving myself of a poison that I am better off without anyway. i am on effexor ,but i dont think you are supposed to drink with them . althogh i have had one lager and black and i was ok after. it should state on the pill box ,a warning ,if your not supposed to drink.
