im depressed..?

well, i guess i am..im a little down and dont know why..i havent been taking my zoloft regularly.could this be the case? and please, NO meanies.

Answers:
Of course!

You have to start seeing your depression just like any other condition that requires pills - it's an illness.

It's just like having diabetes, or an infection. It's not that there's anything wrong with YOU at all! Some people are born with a defective pancreas and can't produce insulin. You just happen to have a condition where there is a chemical imbalance in the brain. What we think are "emotions" are really our biological reactions to the levels of certain chemicals in our brains. So when you feel "depressed" it's only your body's physical reaction to the serotonin levels. Your Zoloft acts on these serotonin levels to help control your body's reaction to the imbalance therefore decreasing your feelings of depression.

That's it, just like a diabetic needing to take an insulin injection to regulate insulin levels, you need to take your Zoloft to regulate your serotonin.

Don't ever think there's anything wrong with you! Be glad that your body is NORMAL and acting the right way to the imbalance of chemicals. Your feelings are your body's way of telling you that something isn't quite right. A diabetic gets dizzy and that signifies their blood sugar levels are off. You feel depressed and that signifies that your serotonin levels are off. It's a medical condition and nothing to be ashamed of.

Anyone who would be mean is only ignorant and doesn't know the real reasons of these types of situations.

If you are really feeling down, you should consult your doctor. Only he will know how to treat you.

You need to take your meds sweetie. That is what the doctor gave it to you for. Take your meds and I assure you that you will feel so much better! take your meds,.see if it gets better,..if not, go see a doc,.

or just listen to what the voices inside are saying, they may be right.

Why aren't you taking your Zoloft? if it makes you feel better, use it. You know you want to feel happy, right? Take your medicine girl? we love you!! if you weren't depressed when you were taking your meds regularly, then I'd assume that it would the cause of the problem.

tell me how can someone as pretty as you be depressed?

What happened recently? an old sad/angry/uncontrollable memory sneak in out of nowhere? have you been taking same strength of Zoloft? have you listed what it could be? Suffer from depression too. It is difficult sometimes to differentiate between life's down days and depression making it feel worse than it is. let me know what happens to you.

We all feel that way sometimes. Sometimes when we are bored we feel that way. Go for a walk, listen to upbeat music, take a relaxing bath, do something that interests you but doesn't frustrate you. i feel like **** too. **** my life. anyway yea it is probably the reason take your medicen good luck .

You should probably go back to your doctor, but why don't you take your medication and see if that helps?

r u sure u r depressed.if somebody switched ur meds with flinstones vitamins u prolly wudnt b aware of it.well u wud kno that they taste different but u get ma point rite.anyways im sure u got frens who care about u. as long as u keep yoself surrounded wit kool people u wont even notice tha "depression".n otha words stop it!
