Thats a tough one. Ok, think about it this way. there are alot of people that are going thru the same thing that you are going thru. What makes you happy? What do u like to do in your spare time? How much family do u have and are they supportive?
Try to write out what you feel. I do that alot because being a single parent and and going to school and dealing with a bunch of carless and phony people, you are going to be stressed out. I have been to couseling for my own reasons, and they didnt help me either. So what i did was do what i calms me down when i feel down: i draw, read, write, cook, clean, or call my friends. Its tuff looking for a therapist that you can trust, and you dont want to keep repeating youself about your problem, and even the professionals dont have a solution.
You are human and you make mistakes and that is OK. I worry alot too, especially about my daughter. I have people tell me dont worry so much.
In other words, dont rush yourself to death. Make time for yourself. Hang out with friends. Go on vacation, go on a date! Its going to be hard no doubt, but you CAN do this.

Jennifer, you have to be strong. If you are truly getting better just stay on that path. I know it is hard. I battle depression daily and when I feel myself slipping into a bad phase I have to make a true effort to pull myself out of it. It is not easy at all. I am on an antidepressant called Lexapro. It has truly changed my life and saved my marriage. It has fewer side effects than others on the market. I, actually, experience no side effects from it. Stay in your therapy for sure. It helps to get your feelings out. Write in a journal. Just do anything at all so you don't keep your feelings bottled up inside of yourself. It sounds like you are desperate to get better and you acknowledge your issues. That is an awesome thing. I know I am not telling you anything you do not know, but I know it helps me when I hear that I am not alone in this struggle with depression. I hope you stay on the path to recovery and wish you the best of luck. You are strong. Don't let the depression win, you can beat it.
Don't be so hard on yourself. :) Your behaviors are not abnormal. In many cultures self-mutilation is an encouraged and acceptable practice.
Get help from a Spirit filled church..Seek help from

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I would bet that the reason that you are hurting yourself in both of these ways is because you feel that you finally have something that you can control in your life. Many people have these same issues for so many different reasons. I know that it is much deeper for you than just cutting yourself to feel pain or not eating for vanity reasons. Please think about what you are doing to yourself and the real reasons for this and confront them, wether it be a person/parents, bad self image issues, depression or something else all together. There are other, healthier alternatives out there that will help you cope with your deeper issues, you just have to find them or allow someone to help you.
