lithium and have u taken it?
Question:
Answers:
I'm a nurse I have never taken it before but have administered to patients the drug Lithium is monitored by your blood level. Perhaps you may need a higher dose. Tell your physician you would like a lithium level checked to help ensure you are at a therapeutic level for you :)

It can but you should be seeing some improvement by now. Please consult your doctor who should be monitoring you for the answer to your question. Good Luck
I took it briefly. Yes it is helpful, but this depends on the indivdual. I didn't like the side-effects, and I also checked with others who had this, and found that there were side-effects, including drowsiness, ill effects to the liver.
Other doctors prescribed me wellbutrine and later fluoxetine. I feel the fluoxetine (Prozac) is the best so far. But as I said, this is according to the individual, and several factors. Consult with your doctor, let her or him know exactly what's going on with you. Keep a pad or notebook where you write things down that you want to say to the doc when you see her (him).
Good luck; work on your issues. Don't just rely on the medication.
I took that stuff one time and it knocked me on my butt for an entire day. I can't take it. It didn't really help me, either...
I have never taken it but I have dispensed it. I saw a change in behavior after a 3 month time span in the client......

Lithium.
Yes, I have taken it.
I was very young and I became unknowingly pregnant while on it.
My Dr. told me to have an abortion, that the baby would most likely not be normal.
I did not.
I had a healthy beautiful baby girl.
God has blessed me more than I deserve.
But, your question, yes, being on any controlled substance takes a while to, "kick in."
The drug won't totally help you.
It's meant to help along with talking to a professional, getting through your issues, or some other type of biofeedback or something.
You have to deal with what's going on in your head, along with a chemical imbalance.
The most important thing is that you want to be better, which it sounds like you do!
Never give up.
Never stop trying.
Sending you love and happiness,
may God bless thee.
