This is for people with bipolar only.?

Question:
How did you feel when you were told that you had this illness/disability? How did it make you feel once it sunk in that you have a mental problem? How did you feel once it sunk in that you have to take pills the rest of your life in order to function in life? What was your/someone elses clue that you had bipolar? On your good and bad days, how do you act and react to anything? What have you done that you regretted so much that, once you became you again, that you wanted to die in shame, or try to fix? Do you get into financial trouble? I want to know everything you are willing to share? I am writing an article on this and want other expereiences other than mine. If you would rather send me an IM, that will be fine (sweetiepie32503). Thank you for your time in answering me. I really appreciate it.

Answers:
bipolar is a illness not a diabilty. a disabilty is someone who can't walk or talk or see or hear or have a interlectual disabilty where they're brain cant fuction proplery so maybe before u do an article on the illness u should do some research because it wouldn't suprise me if u offended more people with biploar by some of the comments u just wrote in ur question
i was diagnosed years ago as being bipolar. i did not believe it until just last month ( i took the meds all this time anyway) i finally figured out not being able to sleep because my head would not shut off must not be normal. then i asked my wife if she ever noticed anything unusual about my behavior, and she told me about my mood swings. i thought i was down all the time she says i go through periods where i am way to up, and it drives her nuts some times. plus the fact i am antisocial, have zero friends. never been much of a people person. but i guess that's a different problem. its not that i was in denial all these years i just never stopped and looked at it. i don't believe it is a disability though, i have been able to work and function up to 9 months ago when i had a stroke and recently found out i have 3 brain tumors.
