I have an Autistic son that is 23, and he still does it.

It is part of the stimulation thing with some Autistic kids. Just like when they turn off and on a light, or wave their hand in front of their face.

My son was in diapers until he was ten, he went through puberty at 10 and came up one day and asked for underwear. We figured out that he was having trouble taking things in hand, we gave him underwear and he hasn't gone in his pants since.

Try the gluten-free diet... it has helped lots of autistic kids
