what should I do when I'm being kept awake by upstairs neighbors all morning? I'm living with ear plugs in.
Question:
Answers:
I would look in your lease to see if there is a clause about there being a "quiet time" during certain hours. If you know your neighbors, see if any one of them have complaints and/or have called the landlord. If it is say, 2AM, and you hear unreasonable noise, you could always call the police and report a public disturbance. But I wouldn't do that unless the landlord fails to act. You may just have to face the possibility that you might have to move to get away from it.
Other Answers:
definitely tell the landlord, and don't let them take your sleep anymore!!
Yes, talk to the landlord. I'm sure when you signed a lease that there was a clause about making too much noise. If they are under the same landlord, they will have to abide by the same rules or THEY should have to move out, not you. Good luck. As staindgarden said, you should tell the landlord, because this is your right!
There ARE noise ordanance laws..Call the police on them.Where I live people can't have loud noises after 9oclock pm.find out what they are in your area then proceed as you see nessesary.
