Mental conditions are nearly impossible to cure, they can only be controlled. Maybe it will be cured if we get into a Gattaca-like future where all defects are rooted out.

Like depression and Parkinson's disease, bipolar disorder is probably an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Once these imbalances are isolated, treatments can be better targeted and hopefully a cure will be on the horizon. i think not. my father is bi-polar until now. he`s nearly 50 years old.
if people eat the right foods. Fast food is awful so is processed foods. We cause things to happen to us by the foods we eat.
bi-polar can be cured for an individual using multiple theraputic approaches. Medication will never cure a psychological problem, however it will help with the chemical imbalance caused the psychological problem. To cure bi-polar I would recommend starting with a nutritionist who could advise you on a diet geared towards mental well being, see a therapist specializing in congnative behavioral therapy, get involved in support groups, and exercise 4 days a week minimum. Thats just the beginning, there are alot more that can be done, such as meditation.
It is more profitable for the drug companies not to cure it. Why throw money at a cure when they make a ton of $$ off of us.
