Is this weird?
Question:
However, when I get sad I think to myself: this is just a consequence brought on by my mind from an external stimulus.
Is this strange? I never cry...I never worry...I just am actually not very emotional.
Answers:
Is called "SELF CONTROL" You don't like to see your mind controlliing you.. Emotions out of control is what most people are suffering from.. and label it DEPRESSION... The imagination doesn't need much of a foothold to throw in a lot of negatives and self pity, into the mix. This is the very thing I teach, to those not having such control...Been at it for almost 40 years now. Can be a bit frustrating when those people will not accept the reality of the situation. As well as take the needed steps to reverse it!
Other Answers:
no its not werid but its good to cry
That sounds like you are a normal dude.
Dear LessthanJoe,
You’ve certainly brought your mental health concerns to the right place! The Y!A community members are fully aware of and do appreciate the intimate conditions involving your prognosis. Most recognized doctors in the field of medicine would employ a holistic approach to your ailment.
LessthanJoe, please begin your day with a well balanced breakfast to include an ample portion of fruits and grains. After your morning routines are finished, enjoy a brisk walk around the block. If you happen to meet any stray dogs along the way, it would be a good idea to antagonize the creatures in order to add some vigor to your workout.
Now LessthanJoe, the remaining portions of your day should be filled with interesting activities and new studies to keep your mind active and in balance, complimentary to what you have done with the physical side of yourself.
After loitering around at the public library all afternoon with a bunch of smelly hobos, you can appreciate a warm bath and time to be good to yourself. Begin to collect an archive of various music genres that you can resolve one day to enjoy after you get the rest of your chores done.
LessthanJoe, if after following my advice, simply take two aspirin and forget we ever had this little discussion.
Thank you, LessthanJoe. Have a great day!
Mason
dont worry about being not so emotional...it makes up for those in the world who are overly emotional....
It's not strange, it's actually very common these days. People are not so connected with their emotions--and that's not always a good thing (we're human. . .we have emotions). At some point you may want to consider talking with a counselor. . .but only when you want to.
Maybe. It just depends on the person and sometimes their upbringing. Were you allowed to cry as a child?
oh you scholar! i play back definitions in my head as well.
Yes, it can be an indication of something, my friend...for some reason, you sound a little numb inside...I know someone who was like that...I am not saying this is your case, but if I am understanding what you are saying, you might just well be like my dear friend...He was terribly abused as a child...the worst you could imagine,..and grew very very numb also. He never cried, he didnt worry about things. He was not emotional..he had developed himself into quite a hardened person. I hope that you are not like this..the sad thing is, that even when a grandparent died, he held it in..he felt nothing. But two years later he cried...he never cried again, for about fifteen years later. I am a dear friend to him...and at one point, about five years ago..he let it all out...he said he'd never cried so much in his life...and this was the beggining of his healing. So my friend...somehow, I think you are crying out right now..if I am wrong, forgive me for trying to show you compassion, ..but somehow, I think you need...God Bless
It might be a little weird. Do you ever get very happy? If you do then maybe you are just a little detached - no big deal.
However, if you never have any emotional extremes, you might see a doctor about it, if you are worried. Except you don't do that...
