I've been on Paxil for a month now (for very mild ocd) and lately I've been hungry every two hours, is normal?

Question:
Would Paxil cause you to be hungry very often throughout the day? Anyone ever experience this? What did you do to keep from getting obese?

Answers:
Paxil is not known for weight gain, it is actually suppose to decrease your appetite. I have been on paxil for 5 months now and I am hungry every couple of hours also, I would suggest vegetables carrots, celery, cucumbers, and tomatoes.. you may need to speak with your doctor and let him or her know that you are hungry all the time. Little snacks won't hurt as long as they are healthy if they are not you will have problems with getting heavy. Good luck with whatever you choose to do..

i've been on paxil for 2 months and i've gained about 12 pounds.i just discovered paxil was the cause my sister in-law has been on it for 2 years she went from 120 Pd's. to 200 Pd's.i don't know why she hasn't tried getting off them.since i discovered this i've been trying to wing myself off.my Dr.has me on 20.for the last 2 weeks i cut dwn to 10mg on my own i feel fine.tomorrow i will start 5mg.for the next 2 weeks.i really shouldn't be doing this w/out my Dr's.permission but she refused so i'm doing it on my own i think it's going good since i've only been on for a short time anyways.never stop cold turkey.we'll good luck.i do have another friend who lost 50lbs within a month from getting off paxil.hopefully the extra weight comes off you and i.good luck again.
