I have the same problem, and have had it all my life since I was a small child. I am in my mid-30's now. I also isolate myself. It is hard to find the motivation to do a lot of things. The only way to do things is to just do it. I know that this may sound a bit too simple, but that is just the way it is. Once you start forcing yourself to get out and do things, you will gradually start to feel better. Good luck!
I know it isn't easy .. but being around your other friends and getting out is the best thing you can do for yourself when you feel depressed. Just try to go out with them a few times. If not .. then take long walks. Walking helps with anxiety and depression too ! Good Luck! :)
