Somebody on here mentioned putting a rubber band around your wrist or arm and whenever you got the urge to cut, pop yourself. He said it broke his cutting habit and Im optimistic that it will help my uncle. (who is a cutter) sing any of your favourite songs aloud or chat with close friends or family members
Start a journal, draw, paint, write, exercise (biking, walking, swimming), talk to a friend, get a pet. Anything to get those feelings out rather than cutting.
If you can't tell anyone, try and be more open to your friends or family. Tell them how you feel about everything, even though it may be a lot. But that's what they're there for, to listen. Try and take what you think is negative out of your mind.
Take up wood carving as a hobby.I know it sounds stupid.but at least you could take things out on a peice of wood instead of yourself. My best way to relieve stress is to just get away for an hour or two and talk to a friend. Contact the Local Mental Health Clinic, They do FREE Assessments and have sliding fee scales. If you need medications you can get most for FREE there also.
Contact a local church in the area if you are interested in therapy. Most have social workers on staff.

Meditation is also will help you ,do it in the morning for 15 min. DON 'T NEGLECT WHAT I SAY. Follow the above to get rid of depression.
It must be very hard for not be able to afford seeing a doctor, for I would suggest it the best way. But thank goodness! You are not alone. Talk to your friends, excersize ( If you can; for it help too ), taking a long bath, watching DVDs, spend sometime in nature. Whatever you like and can do at the moment. Also, it might help to find someone who is good at analysing to sort out solution with you for whatever is stressful to you. And I want to say: depression is not a crime or something to be ashame of; with help whether from outside or yourself, you can overcome it!
