How do I find a tough psychological counselor in Jacksonville, FL?
Question:
Answers:
Um, if you sit there and drone on, don't you think YOU might be the problem? Therapy only works to the extent that you make it work. I know some therapists are more encouraging than others, but if you want to change, you'll have to change yourself--therapists are there to support you and help you figure out the right thing to do, but they're not there the whole rest of the time. If you lack motivation, focus on why you're not motivated for a little while, then work on that. Then, when you're motivated, go change! Tell a therapist you're devoted to change and you want to be supported in making positive changes in your life. Any therapist will be able to support you with that.
Just find somebody you like and put in the work. You can't blame a therapist if you don't work! That's your fault--*you* have to take responsibility for change. Maybe discuss goals--have your therapist help you come up with a schedule for things you want to accomplish, an action plan for change. You can change while you're in the "real world", and discuss it during therapy. That's not a tough counselor--YOU have to be tough for yourself. One day, your therapist won't be there, and you'll be stuck with just you. So get tough yourself! Don't rely on a therapist to be tough for you.
you got an attitude problem go on and find your life and leave the therapists to the people who see you coming and get the feed back
