I have the same Dx. I was Dxed in the late 80's. I see a doc regularly, and I take meds (long long road to find the right combo) even though I dislike having to. Meds are important in managing bipolar. Personally, I get and stay better when I manage to keep busy. Motivation can be hard to maintain, too, I won't lie. Travel, work, going anywhere outside the house, driving, reading, drawing, and writing. Whatever you can do. Distraction ( or immersion) is good for the soul sometimes. Of course sometimes one is too depressed to get motivated enough to do this. That is where keeping a journal helps me immensely. I write it out when I am depressed. It's important to see things in print sometimes. They help with the memory issues as well. I have kept them for 35 years. They have been instrumental in detecting behaviour patterns that I wish to work on changing.
There is no magic cure, and being bipolar is no picnic. Try not to let your illness define who you are. It is merely a part of you. Associate yourself with people who are supportive of you.
killing your self is not going to make things better, have you tried getting professional help, try talking to someone. Nothing is so bad that you need to kill yourself
