an essay about challenging behaviour in elderly?

Question:

Answers:
your questions is extremely vauge. Please elaborate as I know much about elderly but are unsure what you want to know. Behaviors occur for many reasons. Illness, poor diet, diesease, medications, ect... Many can be corrected others need redirection. sorry wish I knew what exactly you wanted to know of.
How about one dealing with either 1)obstinate behavior brought on by dementia. When a child becomes difficult, you know that the corrections they receive will eventually take root and make a difference. A person who is on the last phase of their life, and whose brain is deteriorating, can't necessarily control their behavior or improve from correction. Our frustrations build yet we must keep in mind this dilemma.

2)How to talk with a person who, due to dementia, is hallucinating. For example, when my Grandmother was seeing movies being projected onto her walls, she asked me if I could see them. If I said yes, she might want to discuss them; if I flatly said no, she might get upset. I answered, "No, I can't, but if you can, at least you have free entertainment." She was okay with that.
If you want to know more, talk to them. Find out why they're feeling abused and lonely for the crime of getting old.
