For anyone who knows about bipolar disorder...?

Question:
Is there a house, or safehouse somewhere where we can go to adjust? I guess kind of like a place that they take people who are on drugs. A place where you can be around other people like you until you are adjusted?

Answers:
There really is no other safe place to adjust. The safest place to be is at where you are most comfortable. Leading the most normal life as possible is what you should be looking at. Hospitals and half way houses aren't a place to adjust. All they do is shelter you from living as normal a life as possible. Hospitals are for serious medical issues and just get you stabilized on meds. You may learn a few coping skills there before you would be released home. A half way house isn't used in a mental health matter. They have no doctors or psychiatrists on staff. Keep in touch with your therapist and doctor. If you can't get you meds right, the doctor may put you in the hospital. Mainly, you need to focus on your therapy for adjusting. There should be groups through your counseling center, so ask them about it.
Yes, it's called psychiatric hospital. Your doctor can get you admitted.
