Hello......My daughter is also bipolar and I know what you are going through. Your daughter is incorrect about what is causing her over active libido. These feelings are a symptom of her illness, not a side effect of her medication. My daughter's psychatrist told me that it is not only common for this to happen, but will even present itself in a member of the clergy who has always been celibate, or to an older person who's sexual drive is nothing but a faded memory of days gone by. Of course this information can't take the worry away from us caregivers who only want the best for our kids. In this day and age all we can hope for is that our children do whatever they can to keep themselves alive. Just so you know, it does get better. I don't know how long it has been since your daughter's diagnosis, but if she believes that it is the medication making her feel this way, Perhaps the meds she takes now aren't as effective as they should be. Over time, [and it may take a few years] she and her doctor will be able to come up with just the right medications to alleviate most of her symptoms. Everyone is different and what works for some may not work for others. For right now, if you can, discuss with her doctor what your daughter believes about the link between her sexuality and her meds. He will, at the very least, be able to set her straight on what the symptoms of her illness are and perhaps suggest some effective ways to deal with what she is feeling. I hope I have helped you. Best of luck to both you and your daughter...............
not sure but sounds like you two have alot of fun
