Do you think that if you do have a physicological problem, you would solve it with a physicologist?

Question:
I'm seeing what people would say if their in this sistation, if they would get help or not.

Answers:
A lot of times it's almost impossible to get a clear perspective on our own thoughts and worries. I mean..we are probably the very *worst* observers of our own selves.

So "seeing someone" can really help with that part of things. A good therapist is usually trained to pay attention to the important parts of your thoughts.and as an outside observer, bring those things to your attention in ways that.you might never have thought of on your own.

Basically..coming away from a session going : "Gosh, I had never thought of it in that way before"..is a lot of times what you get out of therapy.

But it would be a mistake to think that a therapist can "cure" you. In the end, you are the one who has to do the heavy lifting, and who needs to work yourself through to the place where the needed changes happen.

But a good therapist can indeed be your helping partner in that journey.***if*** you manage to find one who you trust and who you belive "gets it" about where you are at.

Finding one who seems "right" to you can be half the battle.

By and large they are last century's quacks.
well yes and no. you should also see a therapist and then you can get close to "solving" your issue but first you have to want to fix it. You can also try just a therapist that works some times.
I really think it varies from person to person. I personally have tried it, and didn't feel like I benefited much. Some people, however, really need a qualified person who will listen and offer suggestions. I think it is always worth a try if what you are currently doing isn't bringing relief nor helping.
If you are talking about psychologists, this is how I would answer. There are so many psycological theories that all end up being wrong. They may help you to a point. Many have found success with the psychologists they've seen.
Problem is.it's up to you.
Depends on the psychological problem. Some people can solve it themselves they just need educated help on the subject.
NO! i hate physicologists their so fake and shi*. they make as if they care but they dont all they care about is your money and thats thee only reason why they have that dumb as* job anyways.
The fact that you are asking the question is good! I have been around the block. I would go shopping and not go to the first one that came along. Make phone calls and ask questions. Some times people don't like doctors/physicologist because they are hearing the answers they want to hear. Listen to yourself and your gut. Always trust your gut. Don't try to do it alone. There are plenty of groups out there. You go girl!
Good Luck.
