It usually happens when you are thinking about something else that's on your mind which causes you to forget things or do things wrongly. Don't worry but if it happens quite often seek medical advice.
i do that all the time, go to get something and either come back with the wrong thing which is completly useless or i stand staring about the room wondering why i am there. its great fun
im doing things like that as well, its scary....
I've put cheese in the breadbox, and the milk in the cupboard before. It's an occasional brain-fart. It happens to the best of us:)

Could be "forgetfulness" OR a stroke. Does this happen frequently? Has your vocabulary diminished lately?

Most likely nothing, but you could always talk to your doctor about the possibility of dimensia or alzheimer's. Also, in my doctor's office they have a tv programmed to the health network and a study showed that caffeine can affect your memory as well.

you had a brain-fart or fade, dont worry about it, its normal and HAPPENS to everyone, just stay away from drugs and it wont get really bad, really soon, cause I'm proof possitive that drugs give you brain damage and I do THAT all day long, I just except it and pause myself to let my brain catch up to my movements, it helps!
