The suicide questions?

Question: I am disturbed about the responses I've read today and in the past. Especially when it comes to someone reaching out for help about suicide. That is not a joking matter and should not be taken that way. Do any of you realize that answering with answers like... You're stupid!... or Do it! ... or You don't belong here... just might push them to do it? Do you not care or hold yourselves responsible? I'm asking that all the cold hearted people refrain from answering serious questions because you're all driving me crazy!!! I feel sick for those in need and am in awe that someone would try to push them over the edge like it was a joke! I realize this isn't much of a question but I'd like to know other's views on this subject. Thanks and God bless!

It is hard to tell whether people are asking in all seriousness about anything on here. When it comes to asking about suicide or talking about it, I take it very seriously. I see the answers of people being rude and NOT taking it seriously, but really, if you don't take it seriously, just don't answer the dang question!! Leave it alone. My brother took his life and I couldn't even stand to think that had been alive in this day in age, maybe he would ask a question on here to people and what if they told him to "just do it"?? I agree with people that say you shouldn't be asking strangers (on here) what you should do because you're bound to get answers just like what we mentioned. However, when you are desperate, you'll ask anyone to help you decide on whether life seems worth living. Been there.
