How can I stop command voices??

Question:
I am at a very low point and feel I can't get through another day. I hear people screaming abuse and commenting on my actions nearly all the time. The worst thing is they have started ordering me to do things. I recently walked on the railway track but had no idea at the time I was doing this. (I was luckily found by a transport worker). I also set fire to my kitchen but again can't remember doing it. I am not doing it for attention as I have told no one in person. (my psychiatrist knows there are voices but that is all) I just live in fear
I have lots to live for really including being a single parent but can't cope. I have tried anti psychotic medications but they made me very ill and did not stop the noise. I do not know what to try next.
Serious answers would be very welcome.

Answers:
It definitely sounds like professional help is your best bet, though I know you've tried that. You may want to try some different medications. Each one may affect you differently.

As for what you yourself can do, I think your state of mind can change a lot. Take back control, tell yourself YOU are in control, that YOU can do or not do whatever you want, etc. Kinda meditate about that. Feel your own strength and power and tell the other voices they are not welcome. They cannot stay and you will not listen. Just like with people or pets or whatever, doing anything to reinforce the bad stuff only makes it continue. Don't say you don't have control. Don't believe those voices can make you do things. Instead, reinforce the positive. You are in control. You are trying to change things. You DO NOT want to do these things you hear.

It's not professional or scientific, but it's all I can give you. Just keep changing your thought processes and maybe those voices will start saying good things.

Other Answers:
If you can afford it, i would suggest seeing a psychiatrist (psychologist if other is not available). They should be able to prescribe medicine to regulate your inernal milleu and have you behaving less erratic.

Try another drug. Or check yourself into a mental facility. You should not be supervising children. try lucid dreaming nd take them on in an enviroment you controll
