what have been people's experiences with lunesta?

Question:
Has it been addictive? Does it cause relaxation? etc....

Answers:
According to the literature I've read, it shouldn't be addictive. What may happen is if you take it for too long, you may build up a tolerance and it won't be effective any longer.

I take 3 mg and it works OK, I guess. I do feel relaxed, but not always sleepy. Definitely take it early enough before bedtime so it has time to get into your system. If you wait too long and don't get enough sleep, you will feel groggy the next day.

An additional note: I tried taking Rozerem 8mg. which is supposed to be one of the newest sleep aids out. I didn't like it at all. I fell asleep quickly, but the next day I felt like I had the worst hangover. I waited a few days and tried it again to give it a fair chance, but the same thing happened. I'd rather take my chances with Lunesta.

well my doc gave me some samples...but i refuse n e meds...my bf took 3 at once he didnt go to sleep he said he felt real calm n relaxed...like a xanax effect......but he does have a high tolerance..so jus take as prescribed..lol
If taken properly (exactly as prescribed), it shouldn't cause an addiction. However it is possible. But the risk is very rare and usually only happens in people who have been addicted to other 'stuff'. I use Lunesta and have not had any problems. I've been taking the same dose (2mg) since I started taking it... Relaxes me to sleep but I cant take it and stay awake as it's a sleeping pill.
