what is psychoeducation?
Question:
Answers:
Psychoeducation is educating the patient and/or his/her family on his/her illness or a specific part of it. For example, I often do psychoeducation with parents and/or spouses of my patients with eating disorders, in order to help them better understand their loved ones illness...
If someone is schizophrenic, you may utlize psychoeducation to teach him/her about his illness and specific symptoms, etc.
Hope this helps.
I should have look this up, but off hand I would say -
