I am a quiet, introverted person by nature, however, need to be talkative in my job. So , although it's difficult for me and takes a lot of energy, a quiet person can become talkative when required.
as a person grows and gets out in the world, and realizes that their income is directly related to talking with people, they begin to open up and chat more with other people.

There are people though who were quiet, shy, backward, etc. who stay that way all their lives and never come out of their shell.
I was an introvert for many years. Pretty much until high school. In 8th grade I got contacts after wearing glasses for a number of years. This really helped my confidence and helped me crack my shell. People still knew me and it wasn't until college that I was completely able to get out of my shell and be the person who I am today.
I dont know im in the same situation. However, i think that you should at least try and conversate and/or compliment someone that you don't know as much.
you can change it may take time and you really need to want to do it
Drugs & alcohol did it for me.
Oh yeah...my best friend was always known to be the "quiet, shy" girl. But once she grew up a little bit...matured some...she became pretty talkative.
My soon to be ex husband has that problem, never talked, and he says he can now since he has been listening to and watching dvd from David DeAnglo... he says it has helped him learn to be a better person and like hiself and talk...
are you just quiet or quiet n shy
the second is harder but you can
