How long does it take for Lamictal to begin working? And how will I really know that it is?
Question:
Answers:
Lamictal is the ONLY mood stabilizer that has helped me. Give it at least a month or two to make sure that it doesn't help. You may begin to feel the effects after a few weeks but it takes more than two weeks to reach a therapeutic dosage so don't get discouraged.
If you begin to feel better, you will know that it is working.
Most medications take a full two weeks if not longer to take affect. Though honestly, best of luck Lamictal did nothing for me.
