Dear Alyssa,

I have answers for you. First of all don't worry. You are OK and you will be OK. Just do this simple thing for me and it will work out. I don't know how old you are but I want you to get a close friend that you trust and go to your general practitioner. If you can't then go to a doctor's clinic. And if not the you can wait in emergency and speak to a doctor there. Just explain that you are under tremendous pressure, stress and anxiety from your situation at home. Tell them you feel nervous and very sad because you never get to relax or feel calm. Tell them that you hear voices and that it frightens you and ask them for a psychological evaluation. If you are young and under the age of 25 then you may have a mental illness BUT THAT IS OK! You need to get help. And you will be fine. My brother and some close friends had similar experiences to you and they took medecine and they are fine. Don't let this go unchecked.

Also: don't do ANY drugs. It can make it worse.

You will be OK. Just get an evaluation. I am sorry you do not feel well. I understand the way it can make a person feel.

Best Wishes,

Ouros (My real name is Randall)

i think you need help before you hurt someone or yourself
Many people have a degree of "self talk" where they hear a voice, usually their own, in their head.

It sounds to me like the voices in the head thing is getting to be a bit of a problem.

Perhaps you should talk with a doctor or therapist about it? This could be the beginning of schizophrenia. There are some forms of epilepsy that can cause auditory hallucinations, and drugs can too (although classically you get visual hallucinations with drugs).

Go see a doctor
You may have a very serious mental condition called schizophrenia. It frequently shows up when people are in their teens. Hearing voices in your head is a common sign of schizophrenia. Since your parents don't believe you, you need to talk to another adult you trust--a teacher, school counselor, or your clergy person, for example.

Schizophrenia is very treatable with medication and therapy. Please get help as soon as possible.

I wish you well.
ya, mine tells me lets roll a joint and smoke it.
seriously, talk to some one who will listen to you.
When Im off meds the thoughts in my head become so loud that I would have to talk to myself to hear myself think! If you are going to school, try to see a school counselor or nurse. Also try find a counseling or mental health hotline in your phonebook or online. best to you

btw- you may not necessarily have Schizophrenia; bilpolars could experience the same thing; i would know

Oh- and you might want to look into DBSA (Depression Bipolar Support Alliance) http://www.dbsalliance.org/ they have some good online resources and self tests plus they can help you find a support group in your area. Though they focus on bipolar and depression, it is open to mental disorders.
no
Wow, from what I'm reading, and a few of the answers are from professionals, this is a real thing. If you are at school, contact the school nurse. Since your Mom and Dad don't believe you, do you have a grandmother or grandfather? Uncle? Aunt? Please contact them. I think help would be a good idea. Good luck.
actully ive heard a voice saying something but it only happen once so i thouhght it was from God himself sending me a sign
No I don't, but you should talk to your doctor about it, he/she will be able to help
I have heard them for quite some time now, often varying to giving me breaks of no talking to moments of screaming and fighting. ETC. I did not tell anybody then finally did after they thought I heard them and got Risperdal and Seroquel. Now without a medicine and zip doctors I am trying to manage. It can be bothersome but yet a gift not many have to experience! Good luck and God bless!
