The information you're brain is receiving goes to your short and long term memories (instead of just the short). So you think you've already experienced something again when in reality its a new feeling or sensation.

No they say that Deja Vu is when your brain is processing the info slower...so when you get that feeling, it has just happened and it took your brain longer that usual to process it. Thats why we never know what comes next.
