Wellbutrin make you feel weird?

Question:
I started on lexapro for almost a week, i thought it was working great but i found out i was allergic to it, so my doc switched to wellbutrin. I've been on it for 2 weeks now and i don't like how it makes me feel. i feel kind of jittery, not really feeling like myself (don't know how to explain the feeling). so i was taking the XL for the 2 weeks and today i started on the SR. i took it at 7:30pm and i fell asleep just fine but i woke up @ 2am and had that weird jittery/ skin crawlie feeling and evertime i would doze off it would happen again. so i had to get up and i'm so freakin tired, but i really don't like that feeling. Has anyone had this same/ simaller problem? i just wanna go back to the lexapro but i can't =(

Answers:
Most antidepressants cause side effects that last only a short period of time. The effects you mention are very normal, but if they bother you, you should consult your doctor to see if a dose adjustment or medication change is in order.

Some strategies you may want to try to combat the jitters and twitches include: practicing deep-breathing exercises and muscle relaxation; and getting vigorous exercise, such as jogging, biking, or aerobics.

Go and discuss this with your doctor. there may be alternatives which may not have the side effects.
