Am I schizophrenic?

Question:
I don't think I am schizophrenic, but there are some things that we simply don't know about ourselves. I don't make logical connections and think in paranoid terms. I'll think that people are planning a kidnapping. (This has happened twice in the past couple of months.)

Answers:
that is not schozophrenia, that is paranoia. If it is interfering with your life, then a therapist is the one you need to see.

Other Answers:
Stop smoking marihuana.
Which one of you thinks you two are schizophrenic?

Go see a doctor
well if you are at least your admitting it... most schizophrenics deny there is anything wrong with them... maybe you should go see your gp who could refer you to a specialist in this sort of field... you will get all the help you will need..
people who are crazy don't know they are.
Tough question, because some schizophrenics will have mild symptoms for years that gradually worsen before they are ever properly diagnosed.

If you feel you are not making proper connections to other people and are having trouble in work, school, or relationships, see your doctor.
If you were truly schizophrenic, I don't think you'd be asking these questions. The one person I know who is a diagnosed schizophrenic does not ask questions like that, [when he's off his meds].
Now paranoia is something different. Seek assistance from a professional.
Someone schizophrenic usually sees and hears things that others neither see or hear - voices, sights, visions, hallucinations.
Someone paranoid usually finds enemies where none exist.
These are not states that come and go.
If you are living in a situation of high stress, sometimes the mind may play tricks on you making you believe things are happening although they aren't.
This is probably not the forum to discover your true mental state in part becasue no one here can do anything about it to help you.
If you are truly concerned, speak to a health care professional for a recommendation. There are much better medications available out now to keep symptoms at bay.
If you are a high level governmental official living in a shaky part of the world politically, then maybe a kidnapping is being planned... It all depends on your reality.
I agree with the above, part of the disease is the person is totally unaware they have it. I have a lot of paranoia, especially as a child. A lot of it was associated with trauma. If you have had any sort of trauma in the past you may have developed Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Paranoia is often associated with this. Then again, I may have no idea what I am talking about.
