OK, so I'm kinda confused, what should I do?

Question:
I'm 16 and depressed. Today, my geandma started yelling at me about "How I'm only depressed cos Joey (My crush) doesn't like me back and she's sick of seeing me locked in my bedroom not wanting to do anything"
When in reality, I can care less about Joey, but I can't care any more than I do about getting back into school and seeing my friends and teachers again. And about the "me not wanting to get out" part, also not true, I wanna go out and do something I've never done and go somewhere I've never been..
What should I do?

realise that you're only 16 and, in all probability, not suffering from depression
go out and do something you've never done and go somewhere you've never been. what's stopping you? just do it. be spontaneous
Now I am confused! LOL
YOU NEED TO SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE, GIRL. YOUR EMBARRASSMENT AND/OR SHAME IS CONSUMING YOU.
YOU WILL NOT AND CANNOT ACCOMPLISH ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS YOU WANT TO DO IN LIFE IF YOU STAY LOCKED UP IN YOUR ROOM. GET BACK OUT INTO THE REAL WORLD, DEAR. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF. GOD BLESS YOU.
1. sometimes it's good to listen to others around you because they see wahts going on, but in the end it's always gonna be your decision as it is your life and older people fail to understand (or they just don't want to) that time and people change, it's also good to have GOOD friendz around for support. The best thing to do, cry. Keeping things bottled up will end up hurting you more than letting go of old feelings..
hope i helped chicky
If you want to get out and do something, why don't you? Ask Grandma to take you somewhere. Ask her if you can go to a friend's, or invite some friends over to your place. Have a sleepover. Just find some things to keep you busy. Lower your expectations a little. You can't do something new and adventurous every day. Learn to enjoy the simple things in life.
Gee, your grandma isn't any help!! She's not the one to go to for support, apparently! Some depression is normal, so don't freak out about it. If there is alcohol present in your family, you can go to Alateen; there are also good Alateen books and some Alanon groups accept teens, too (or they can direct you to Alateen). Sometimes, we have a slogan, Fake it Till You Make It - go on & act like you feel a little better than you actually do- sometimes this will help you break a mood. But, if it doesn't work, that's OK; try something else. You are the same as many other people; you are not alone (but it would help if you could find some of these supportive people). Don't give up; take it One Day At a Time & Easy Does It. Remember that you ALWAYS have choices. . .Ask yourself, "What could I do to feel better right now?" This is a good question..The answers are all positive!!
